Perhaps the most personal collaboration between Bulgarian-born photographer Stefan Milev and Phil Hoffmann (SMPH), V explores the perception of one’s origin. Shot in a forest off of Bulgarische Straße (Bulgarian street), it is the intersection between Milev’s Sofia and Hoffmann’s Berlin.

The series of photographs were developed to address what is means to be German in this day and age. The model, Corinna, has a perfectly toned body just months after giving birth to her son, which essentially speaks for two of the German nation’s most praised characteristics: strength and integrity. Clad in an improvised pair of 032C high-heeled shoes, Corinna also represents the juncture between Berlin then and now, showing 032C as the symbol of the new German creative wave.
